Indie-pop singer and songwriter Bailey Baum has an uncanny ability to capture the experience and emotion of being a twenty-something woman navigating life, love, heartbreak, friendship and everything in-between. With reflective lyrics, stirring soulful vocals, and clever pop melodies, Bailey’s songs are relatable but never predictable.

Growing up in Dallas, Texas as one of six siblings, Bailey made it her mission to stand apart from the pack at a young age. She remembers performing impromptu shows for her large family wherever she could—on a makeshift stage in her childhood home, on-top of her Grandma’s fireplace, anywhere could be her stage. In first grade when her teacher asked her what she wanted to do when she grew up, she replied confidently that she was going to be a singer. She enrolled in singing and piano lessons at the age of eight, wrote her first song at twelve, and performed all across the Dallas-Fort Worth area as a teen.

Unlike many childhood dreams that fall by the wayside, Bailey has continued to pursue hers with raw fervor and unwavering faith ever since that day in first grade. In 2015, at just eighteen years old, Bailey took the next step and moved out to Los Angeles, the center of the pop music universe. Over these past few years, Bailey has perfected her dreamy, left-of-center pop style that draws comparisons to contemporaries like BANKS, Lana Del Rey, and Kacey Musgraves. Her singles have amassed over 10 million streams to date and have landed on top-tier editorial playlists such as Spotify’s ‘Fresh Finds,’ ‘Indie Pop,’ and ‘Chill Vibes,’ and Apple Music’s ‘Feels.’

Bailey released her first EP in 2021. The ‘Over It’ EP is a raw emotional story of young love, packaged with ethereal soundscapes, captivating melodies, and vivid lyricism. “I want the EP to help people feel empowered to get ‘over it,’ while also acknowledging how important it is to let yourself feel everything deeply. No emotion or thought you have is invalid, but there is a light at the end of the tunnel of heartbreak. We all deserve to find happiness and peace and fulfillment and that all starts within yourself. I’m still learning and growing from my experiences, this EP is all about that process."

Bailey is releasing new music in fall 2022.
